Gaye’s production experience fills up more space than we have next to this picture, so you’ll have to take our word for it – or ask for a resumé if you really need proof.
As the head honcho at Together Films, she puts her experience of managing productions of all sizes – whether it’s five people or 500 – in service of your production, and is ready to take on whatever challenge you can throw at her: as long as it’s not those disco balls she once sourced in Eswatini.
She’s a perfectionist who demands the best from everyone – including herself – and with her in charge, directors can relax into doing what they do best: realising their creative vision.

Malo 8 is a consummate storyteller – in any genre. And he’s done it all – from theatre to commercials, to all kinds of television shows, documentaries and films. He’s won a plethora of awards and special mentions from festivals all over the world, which he’ll be only too glad to tell you about if you ask him.
His love for South African culture and humour shine through his work, as does his personality. For him, context is everything; it informs his approach to every production.
And the big brands love him – he’s done work for Coke, Vodacom, DStv and even McDonald’s, for whom he shot one of the first commercials to be filmed in South Africa during lockdown. And that’s just for starters. (The brands, not the McDonald’s. It’s hard to pull hamburgers off as a starter.)

Bevan Cullinan
Director
Bevan Cullinan is an award-winning Commercial Director and Film-maker. He is a funny guy and is known for his ability to shoot comedy and performance dialogue, but he can pretty much shoot any style. He understands the demands of shooting multi format content for all platforms and is totally woke.
He started out as a well-known stand-up in SA and completed his Honours in physical comedy at Rhodes University. He can shoot performance in any style because of his physically-based approach to comedic characters. He knows the secret formula to making your idea funny, but you’ll have to contact us to find out how he does it.
Alessandra Scherillo
Director
Alex blends the best of her Italian and British heritage into an intoxicating package of contrasts and complementary traits.
She’s level-headed and passionate, creative and economical, focused and flexible. And she’s happiest when she can combine her love for film, lighting, storytelling, fashion and beauty.
Based in the UK, she’s worked all over the world in a variety of genres, determined to hone her craft and learn from the best directors in the world.
She brings a great eye, extensive DOP experience, a strong visual style and her intuitive understanding of humanity and narrative to her work. And don’t think she’s predictable. Today she’s perched on a crane beside a 35mm Panaflex; tomorrow she’s making magic with an iPhone.
Catharine Cooke
Director
Catharine Cooke is all about drama – and not only because she’s the youngest of four sisters. With a background in acting, she’s the director to call when you want a combination of stellar performances and strong visuals.
She’s the queen of long format, and you know what they say about working with children and animals? Well, just give Catharine a call for the former – she has a seemingly endless well of patience with babies, toddlers and children.
She knows that teamwork is an essential component of every great production, and collaborates with only the best, allowing each person to bring their unique expertise and experience to the final product.
And then she combines imagination, flexibility, incisive thinking and decision-making, and a deep compassion, to distil excellence from every person on set. Plus, she’s willing to tell any story that she thinks is worth telling, from comedy and romance, to drama and action, with her signature flair.
